The Diopsys Neuro Optic Vision Assessment-Transient Response VEP Vision Testing System (NOVA-TR ) has been developed for optometrists to objectively measure the neurological responses of the entire visual pathway. It is easy to use, non-invasive, and typically requires approximately five to twenty minutes to test both eyes.
The NOVA-TR System uses a technology called Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) to evaluate a patient’s response to an external stimulus along the entire visual pathway from the lens of the eye to the visual cortex of the brain. By using VEP, the NOVA-TR is able to identify optical/neural abnormalities related to vision that an Optometrist might not otherwise be able to detect. The NOVA-TR allows the clinician to objectively document response to therapy.
Features & Specifications:
- Patented technology for stimulus generation allows user to designate pattern reversal and frequency of checkerboard, horizontal, vertical, or sinusoidal patterns.
- Algorithms embedded in the NOVA-TR software allow immediate and objective data analysis, and on-site test results.
- Randomized music and animated characters are available to maintain child’s fixation.
- Synchronized data collection provides quick, objective analysis of neurological response to stimuli. Data may be presented for diagnosis, or serially for “response to therapy”.
- User may indicate specific therapy and time of treatment (i.e., patching, lens, surgery, prism therapy) to objectively track efficacy.
- Utilizes three, disposable silver chloride electrodes/test.
- Mobile point of care wheeled cart.
- Menu driven flat panel operator monitor.
- 17 inch flat panel stimulus monitor.
- Bluetooth® color printer for report generation.
